A series of courtyards have been developed into gardens over the years. Most of the young users relyon wheelchairs or cots, and thus the garden is universally designed to accommodate the needs of all. Centerpiece is a sensory garden with series of curved, raised planters enclosing number of “activity stations” and providing space for sensory plantings. The activity stations allow children to explore different textures and play with water through a splash table. Also a number of quieter areas for music therapy & family time. Other spaces: shade house, compost area, grassy field, outdoor concert stage, potting shed, earthworm bins and native plant propagation area. The garden is open to the larger community. Call ahead to see if you or your group are welcome.
